ISO 50001:2018 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an energy management system (EnMS). To help companies transition to the new standard, auditors need training in the updated requirements.

This course will enable you to perform an audit of part of an EnMS based on ISO 50001 or equivalent and recognize the requirements when making the transition from ISO 50001:2011 to ISO 50001:2018. This course is certificated by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) – CQI/IRCA Course Certification Number, 2096– PT 261.

Course Certification

Learners who pass both the examination and continuous assessment will be issued with a “Certificate of Achievement” that satisfies the formal training for an individual seeking certification as a CQI/IRCA auditor/lead auditor. The “Certificate of Achievement” is valid for a period of five years from the date of the last day of the course for the purpose of certifying as an auditor with the CQI/IRCA.

Learners who do not pass the continuous assessment and have been in attendance for the full duration of the course will be issued with a “Certificate of Attendance”.

Prerequisites

Before starting this course, you are required to have an in-depth knowledge of ISO 50001:2011, and Annex SL.

Also, before taking the ISO 50001:2018 energy management systems auditor transition training, you should have completed both of the following modules:

• CQI/IRCA Annex SL Module 1 Auditor Transition Course (1 day)
• CQI/IRCA ISO 50001:2018 Module 2 Auditor Transition Training Course (1 day)

If you have already completed CQI/IRCA Annex SL Module 1 as part of the Modular CQI/IRCA transition course process previously, you do not need do re-take Module 1.

• Session 1: ISO 50001:2018 overview and clauses 1-6
• Session 2: ISO 50001:2018 clause 7
• Session 3: ISO 50001:2018 clauses 8-10
