SGS’s laboratories in Kazakhstan have successfully been accredited for compliance with the requirements of GOST ISO/IEC 17025:2019 and have expanded their scope of work for petroleum products.
The verification laboratory in Shymkent was re-accredited for compliance with GOST ISO/ IEC 17025:2019, and the testing laboratory in Aktau has expanded its scope of accreditation for petroleum products.
What is the advantage of introducing standards into laboratory work?
Above all, compliance with a laboratory standard gives the customer confidence in the quality of the work. A potential client must be sure that the laboratory meets all international standards, which means that research results will be accurate and correct.
Business Manager, Department of Oil, Gas and Chemistry, Oksana Begenova commented about certification: ”The implementation of the standard will allow the results of our laboratories to be recognized at the national and international level and will also provide an additional guarantee of quality to customers and consumers of our services”.
The oil testing laboratory in Aktau has also expanded its scope of accreditation for petroleum products, allowing it to conduct analyses for compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union for submitting quality reports (test protocols) to the customs authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of further declaring cargo.
GOST ISO/IEC 17025:2019 is an interstate standard in the EAEU countries, completely identical to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017. It is intended for laboratories and confirms their competence in accordance with the requirements of the national accreditation system. The accreditation certificate confirms that the laboratory has successfully passed the test of the National Center for Accreditation and meets the requirements of the standard.
